GLEN INNES SEVERN COUNCIL gisc.nsw.gov.au OUR COUNCIL NEWS, NOTICES & EVENTS AROUND THE REGION COUNCIL Your Weekly Wrap Up GISC Family Fun Day Glen Innes Severn Council's Family Fun Day was held on Saturday, 18 May 2024, at the Australian Standing Stones National Monument at Centennial Parklands, Beautiful weather meant that many families were able to come out and enjoy a relaxing and wonderful free event for our community Each organisation, along with Children and Family Services (CAPS), provided educational and engaging activities for children and families to participate in. The event was a resounding success with around 370 sausage sandwiches and 360 milkshakes given out to attendees. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day special! Important Notice: Visitor Information Centre Toilets Closed for Repairs Dates: Tuesday, 11 June-Saturday, 15 June Please be advised that the toilets at the Visitor Information Centre will be closed for essential repairs from Tuesday, 11 June to Saturday, 15 June. During this period, we encourage you to use the nearest public toilets located at Town Hall and McDonald's. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our facilities Have Your Say on Councils 2024/2025 Draft Operational Plan Glen Innes Severn Council Invites community feedback on its Draft 2024-25 Operational Plan and Budget. The Operational Plan and Budget outlines Council's proposed initiatives and financial allocations for the upcoming financial year. The draft Operational Plan and Budget will be available for public review until Thursday 13 June 2024. During this time, you can submit your feedback online through Council's Have Your Say page. Written submissions are also welcome and can be sent via email or mail until 4.30 PM on Friday, 14 June 2024. Wentworth Street Bridge Project Crane work completed on Wentworth Street Bridge upgrade Crane work for the Wentworth Street Bridge upgrade has been completed, marking the project at 50 per cent completion Construction of the deck and reinforcing is now underway, handled by contractors WeirBuilt This milestone moves the bridge upgrade closer to its final goal, promising improved infrastructure for the community Infrastructure Works Program The following works are scheduled in the period ending Friday, 21 June 2024 subject to weather conditions and unforeseen delays Jet patching in Glen Innes Township, and Pinkett Road General pothole patching, street sweeping and roadside slashing around the Glen Innes Township The Roads Construction Crew will be Maintenance grading is scheduled Euroka Road, Grahams Valey Road, Homestead Road, Old Ben Lomond Road, Ingle Vale Road, Munsies Road, Morven Road, Yana Road.
