COUNCIL AT WORK MT MITCHELL ROAD BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Council has constructed the columns for the centre pier of the Mann River Bridge on Mt Michell Road. These columns are 3.5-metres high and will support the new bridge which will rise two metres higher than the old timber structure to decrease food closure events. Once the column concured in 28 days the placement of precast headstocks can commence WENTWORTH STREET BRIDGE CLOSURE Residents are advised that the bridge over Rocky Ponds at Wentworth Street remains closed to allow for the replacement of the omber bridge. Please note that this closure will remain in place for the duration of the project, which is OUR COUNCIL ACTION AT THE GLEN INNES SALEYARDS The Glen Innes Saleyards hosted a weaner sale on Friday, 15 March 2024. The sale was very well attended with approximately 2,000 head going up for sale This sale was the first of three weaner sales being held by saleyards agents, Colin Say & Co.
