GLEN INNES SEVERN COUNCIL OUR COUNCIL COUNCIL AT WORK CENTENNIAL PARKLANDS PROJECT 1 The Centennial Parkland's project is progressing well and starting to shape with the framework at the amenities block now being put into place Work has also started on the retaining wall at the back of the building and playground area, and further footings work has been done at the front of the MT MITCHELL ROAD BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Council has constructed the columns for the centre pier of the Mann River Bridge on Mi Mitchel Road. These columns are 3.5-metres high and wil support the new bridge which will rise two metres higher than the old timber structure to decrease flood closure events. Once the column concrete in 28 days the placement of precast headstocks can commence cured WENTWORTH STREET BRIDGE CLOSURE Residents are advised that the bridge over Rocky Ponds at Wentworth Street remains closed to allow for the replacement of the timber bridge.
