We are now calling for Expressions of Interest for farmers to attend a one-day workshop hosted by University of New England. Southern New England Landcare and GLENRAC. The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Tom Davison, who has had an extensive career in livestock production with a focus on methane research and emissions reduction Tom will present an independent, research and fact-based workshop featuring a mix of learning and practical activ you will also be helped to enter your own farm information to create your own carbon account Find out how to register over page Future Drought Fund une CALCULATING CARBON CALCULATE THE CARBON EMISSION FOR YOUR FARM BUSINESS What the workshop includes: The workshop will feature a mix of learning and practical activities and you will also learn how to interpret a carbon account and consider options to address emissions for the future. The carbon account will set a benchmark to show progress over time and can be used in on-farm decision making We will be using the University of Melbourne's Farm Greenhouse Accounting Framework Tools for sheep and beef producers. This is a free tool you can continue to use after the workshop Pre-workshop data collection will be required for ! each farm business. Depending on the size of your business and level of complexity this will take approx. 2 to 8 hours. Your data will remain private, unless you discuss it with the group.
