Matt Ridley of The Pump Shed shared insights on planning for installing or upgrading systems, emphasizing gearing to the actual stock numbers and incorporating contingencies for potential delays or repairs. Grazier Dave Worsley highlighted the importance of system redundancies and monitoring. Anthony Rosser, manager of Winston Park, discussed the productivity gains from upgrading water systems, focusing on keeping cattle out of dams for improved water quality and environmental protection. Over 30 farmers attended, travelling from Inverell to Walcha, and Guyra to Glen Innes. University of Southern Queensland GLENRAC The Drought Resilient Pasture Landscapes Project and the Armidale Node of the SQNNSW Innovation Hub receive funding from the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.
